How to Buy Frames & Lenses Online
Step 1: Know your prescription and measurements
PrescriptionYour prescription may include a SPH, CYL, Axis, ADD and Pupillary Distance (PD). If your prescription does not include one of these it means that you do not require that corrective power. | |
---|---|
OD | Right eye parameters |
OS | Left eye parameters |
SPH | Sphere indicates the amount of lens power prescribed for nearsightedness or farsightedness |
CYL & AXIS | A Cylinder (CYL) and Axis is required to correct Astigmatism. Both parameters will be required together |
ADD | This provides magnifying power for reading, progressive and bifocal lenses |
PD | The distance between the centres of the pupils in each eye. PD is important for higher powered lenses due to the location of the optical centre of the lenses |
Make sure that you have an accurate prescription from your eye care professional. Contact lenses and eyeglasses have different prescriptions. If you need help reading yours, please consult the chart above.

Measurements
Make sure that you have your eyewear measurements. We know that fit can be challenging, so this will help us find you the right pair. If you don’t know your measurements, you can take a look along the temple arm of your existing pair of glasses or sunglasses. Your measurements will be listed in the order of lens width, bridge width, and arm length. If you don’t see any numbers listed on your current pair, find a ruler and measure your glasses or sunglasses (in millimeters) using this diagram below for reference.
Step 2: Pick your style
When thinking about which styles are right for you, consider which styles suit your face. We know that this can be difficult, however knowing which shape (heart, round, oval, etc.) you most closely resemble is important.
An oval face has slightly wider cheekbones and a gentle narrowing at the forehead and jaw. Congratulations! You can wear any eyewear.
A triangle face is widest at the jaw and gradually narrows through to the forehead. Try a pair with detail on top and a lean base.
A heart face is widest at the forehead and gradually narrows through to the jaw. Choose a pair that's wider on top than the bottom.
A round face has softer angles with slightly wider checkbones, forehead and jaw. Rectangular frames work best.
A pair of glasses with a strong brow line will hold its own against your cheekbones.
A square face has more angular lines with equally wide cheekbones, forehead and jaw. Soften an angular face with round lenses.
Square, tall lenses offset the length of your face.
Step 3: Place your order
Selecting lensesYou have found your perfect pair. (1) Select the proper size of the frames if that option is available. (2) Select your lens option (see chart below) if you're purchasing Eyewear. (3) Add them to your cart. (4) Before proceeding to the checkout area, enter your prescription in the cart area where it asks if you're purchasing Eyewear with lenses. (5) In the checkout area, enter your shipping details (shipping is free) including phone # and email. (6) Enter your preferred method of payment.
And that’s it!
The following chart outlines the three options for selecting your lenses:
BASIC | Scratch Resistant (add $50.00) Scratched lenses can affect your vision, leading to damaging eye strain. A Scratch Resistant coating will extend the life of your lenses. |
ENHANCED | Scratch Resistant, Anti-Glare (add $80.00) Along with a scratch resistant coating, anti-reflective coating reduces eyestrain by eliminating ambient glare from car headlights, computers, digital devices and televisions. |
COMPLETE | Scratch Resistant, Anti-Glare, UV Protection, Choice BluSelect, and Easy Clean (add $130.00) Includes a coating that provides 100% Ultraviolet (UV) protection that is essential for eye protection; Choice BluSelect which can help block harmful blue light; and the new innovative Easy Clean lens coating which makes cleaning easy. |
